There are three lanes on the map of Wild Rift, with each one having a specific objective. Here is a detailed guide with an explanation of all the lanes in Wild Rift.
Wild Rift is the mobile adaptation of the famous PC MOBA game League of Legends. Published by Riot Games, Wild Rift shares a lot of similar features with League of Legends. From champions to maps, there are a lot of similarities between the two games.
The map of Wild Rift is not very different from League of Legends Summoner’s Rift. Players who have played League of Legends before will have an easier time understanding the map in Wild Rift. However, new players can also understand the map easily by following this guide.
There are a total of three lanes in League of Legends Wild Rift. Each lane is played by a specific class of champions. The lanes are:
- Top/ Baron Lane: Baron Lane is mainly played by Fighter, Assassin, and Tank class champions. This lane generally provides more EXP, which helps champions of this certain classes to upgrade faster.
- Mid Lane: This lane is mainly played by Assassin and Mage class champions of Wild Rift. This is the shortest lane on the map, so this lane requires more skills for the players as they will face a continuous wave of enemies.
- Bot/ Dragon Lane: Dragon Lane is mainly played by Marksman and Support class champions. This lane grants the players more gold which helps marksmen buy more equipment and get stronger in the later stage of the game. On the other hand, a support champion is necessary for this lane as the marksmen usually have fewer Health Points.
Top Lane
Generally, the lane that is located at the very top of the map is known as the Top Lane. The lane that is considered the top lane is the one that is located at the very top of the screen.
In order to avoid any confusion, the top lane in Wild Rift is referred to as Baron Lane. This is because the Baron Nashor monster spawns in the Baron Pit, which is located beside this lane. Hence, if you are confused and unable to determine which one of the lanes is the top lane, all you need to do is locate the Baron Pit and determine which one is the top lane.

Players that are on the top lane often need to play and battle by themselves. The top lane is dominated almost exclusively by champions capable of holding their own and eliminating enemies by themselves. In order to be successful in the top lane, players must not only be proficient in making effective use of their talents, but they also need to have a thorough understanding of the champions they want to play.
Mid Lane
The Mid Lane is the shortest lane in Wild Rift. This lane connects the two Nexus bases vertically in the shortest distance, making it one of the most contested lanes in League of Legends Wild Rift. Players are mostly seen using Mage champions in this lane.
The mage champions in the middle lane mainly work for poking enemy champions going into the mid lane to launch an assault. They keep poking the opposing champions until the middle of the game, all the while continuing to level up.
Mages also have the ability to travel across lanes to assist their teammates who are competing in other lanes. If a member of your squad is being attacked in any of the lanes nearby. As the middle lane is exactly halfway between the other two lanes, it is easy for mages to travel quickly between the other lanes and provide support for their allies.
Bot Lane
Both the top lane and the bot lane share the same amount of space between their respective nexuses, making the bot lane mirror the top lane. The bot lane is generally played by a Marksmen champion along with a Support champion.
In Wild Rift, the bot lane is referred to as the Dragon Lane since the game’s dragons will spawn along this lane at some point throughout the match.
Marksman champions take on this lane in order to win more golds, which allows them to purchase equipment more quickly and ultimately grow stronger. On the other side, Support champions are necessary for this lane since Marksmen often have very little health, and they are needed to support the Marksmen.
