Pokémon Go is a 2016 augmented reality mobile game, part of the Pokémon franchise, developed and published by Niantic in collaboration with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for iOS and Android devices. It became one of the most exciting and unique games of its era.
The Pokemon Go community day is one of the biggest events of the game. The Game celebrates its whole year journey and gives back to the players in form of in-game gifts and more frequent special Pokemon sightings. It is one of the biggest events for all the players of Pokemon Go around the globe.
In this article, we will write about all that we know about the event for now. So give it a proper read to understand everything about it.
The Time of Community Day
The community day event will be available from Saturday, December 17, 2022, and Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Community Day Bonuses
These bonuses will be active throughout the whole duration of The Community Day event.
- 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
- 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event period.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive XL Candy from catching Pokemon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two per day.
- Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust.
Featured Pokemon to Catch
A different set of Pokémon will be featured on each event day. The Pokémon that appear during this time will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as those that appeared during their original Community Days.
The following Pokémon will be featured on Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
The following Pokémon will be featured on Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Lucky Trainers might encounter Bulbusaur, Dratini, or Mudkip on either day.
Special Raids
The following Pokémon will appear in raids in the Community Days.
Community Day Special Eggs
The following Pokémon featured during Community Day events in 2021 will hatch from 2 km Eggs.
Featured attacks for Community Day
The following featured attacks will be available when evolving to the following Pokémon except for Ursaluna on Saturday, December 17, 2022, and Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time.
Evolve Ivysaur (Bulbasaur’s Evolution) during the event to get a Venusaur that knows the Charged Attack Frenzy Plant.
Evolve Sandshrew during the event to get a Sandslash that knows the Charged Attack Night Slash.
Evolve Alolan Sandshrew during the event to get an Alolan Sandslash that knows the Fast Attack Shadow Claw.
Evolve Machoke (Machop’s evolution) during the event to get a Machamp that knows the Charged Attack Payback.
Evolve Alolan Graveler (Alolan Geodude’s Evolution) during the event to get an Alolan Golem that knows the Fast Attack Rollout.
Community Day Special Research story

Timed Research on Community Day 2022
Timed Research leading to encounters with Pokémon featured in previous Community Days in 2021 and 2022 will be available.
