Genshin Impact Dendro Elemental Reactions: Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, Quicken, Spread, Aggravate, and Burning Explained

Genshin Impact is a popular anime-inspired open-world action role-playing game (RPG) that takes place in the world of Teyvyat. The game features different elements, and each character is categorized according to these elements. There are 7 elements available in the game right now. They are:

  1. Pyro (fire)
  2. Hydro (water)
  3. Cryo (ice)
  4. Geo (earth)
  5. Electro (lightning)
  6. Anemo (wind)
  7. Dendro (wood)

Additionally, Genshin Impact has unique interactions with the elements. An elemental reaction is produced when the constituents of two or more elements are combined. The characters switch after each attack is cast. Elemental Reaction is the main fighting strategy in Genshin Impact. Understanding the appropriate Elemental Reactions and the best team combinations to trigger the Elemental Reactions is so essential.

Genshin Impact Dendro Elemental Reactions

Bloom

Bloom elemental reaction is triggered by using Dendro and Hydro elements together. Applying Dendro to a Hydro-afflicted enemy will trigger Bloom which will create a Dendro core. The Dendro core will then fall on the ground and explode after 5 seconds dealing damage to anyone nearby. Only five Dendro cores can stay active in the field at a time. If any additional Dendro core is spawned, the oldest Dendro core will explode and deal AoE damage.

Hyperbloom

Hyperbloom is triggered when Dendro is attacked with electro. The Dendro core is produced through the elemental reactions of Dendro and hydro. Attacking the Dendro core further will trigger the Hyperbloom elemental reaction. Dendro DMG is dealt by Hyperbloom, which causes the Dendro Core to instantly explode and discharge a homing projectile that tracks and hits an adversary.

Burgeon

Burgeon is also produced with the help of the Dendro core created by Dendro and Hydro elements. Dendro core, when reacted with Pyro elements, can trigger a Burgeon. Burgeon makes the Dendro core explore instantly and causes AoE damage.

Quicken

Quicken elemental reaction can be triggered by using electro elements with Dendro. Enemies will enter a quickened state once they are attacked with Hydro and Electro. Players can deal more damage to a Quickened enemy as Dendro, and Electro DMG are increased for 7 seconds.

Spread

The Spread elemental reaction is triggered when a quickened enemy is attacked with Dendro. Applying Dendro attack on a quickened enemy will trigger the spread reaction and increases the Dendro DMG.

Aggravate

Like Spread, Aggravate Reaction is triggered when a quickened enemy is attacked with an Electro attack. Similarly, Aggravate attack increases the Electro DMG dealt on the quickened enemy.

Burning

Burning is the latest Dendro Reaction of Genshin Impact. Burning is triggered with Dendro and Pyro attack together. The elemental Reaction deals pyro damage on the enemies over time. The burning Reaction existed even before the introduction of Dendro characters.
